The “HP Panel” is aimed at players who are committed to making their golf development their number one priority and understand the time and effort required to achieve this. They will commit to training over the winter months and will interact with the HP Manager on a one-to-one basis. Based on a mutually agreed Periodisation Plan, players will be part-funded to attend key events throughout 2013. Unlike previous years, there was no formal application process for the 2013 programme. Invitations were issued to players based on competitive performances over the past two years and an aptitude towards training.

Players will meet in Dublin on Saturday 20 October to launch the programme when one-to-one sessions with the HP Manager and their Personal Coach will be scheduled for the remainder of the year. The Physical Skills Training programme will be rolled out in late November. This will be followed by a match for 8 players, with Pennsylvania State University in early 2013.

A “National Panel” will also be selected for next season whereby the panel will receive ILGU support based on performance throughout the season. The details of this programme will be announced in the near future.

All remaining players with a desire to develop their game to the next level will be invited to apply for ILGU Coaching at Regional level.
