PING

The Evian Championship continues to strengthen its sports policy through the global exposure received by its qualifying tournaments in Europe, Korea and the USA. Once again this year, these competitions offer 5 players the opportunity to take their place in the highly select line-up for the Major, to be held from 25 to 28 July 2019 (the field comprises 120 players selected according to stringent eligibility criteria). Société Générale, one of the Evian Championship’s major partners, is involved in the Qualifiers, providing support to the 5 players that qualify through the creation of a dedicated Team.

For the 3rd year in a row, the Qualifiers are held at the Jabra Ladies Open, a growing event with a purse increased from 120,000€ to 150,000€ and still co-sanctioned by the LET and LETAS. This is a wonderful opportunity for the winner of the Jabra Ladies Open, who not only qualifies for The Evian Championship 2019 but is also selected for another major, the AIG Women’s British Open, and receives a LET tour card until 2020. The runner-up will qualify for The Evian Championship 2019.

In 2018, 132 players representing 28 nationalities teed off in this event at which Astrid Vayson de Pradenne was crowned the winner. The French player won in a play-off against Germany’s Karolin Lampert, who also claimed her ticket for the Major.
