The ILGU is saddened to hear of the passing of Honorary Life Member of the Union Brenda Gearty.
Brenda served as Connacht District Chair in 1986 and on the Central Council (Board) of the ILGU for 12 years between 1977 and 1999.
Brenda was a past Captain, past President and Honorary Member of Co. Longford Golf Club. ‘Mrs. Golf as she will be fondly remembered as, won the 1980 Connacht Women’s Championship and remained a single figure handicap until she began to suffer from ill health.
