Ireland Win GOLD at European Senior Ladies Team Championships – Slovenia

Ireland qualified 4th, beat Sweden in the quarter-finals, The Netherlands in the semi finals and then beat Italy in the Final of the European Senior Ladies Team Championships to win the GOLD MEDAL in Bled, Slovenia 3-7 September 2013.

Ireland made it an historic double with the men also winning the European Senior Team Championships at Pannonia Golf and Country Club in Hungary, beating Sweden 4-1 in the final.
Irish Close Champion Suzanne Corcoran (Portumna) wrapped up a fine week’s work with a second extra tie hole win to secure Gold for Ireland after Carol Wickham and Laura Webb won their singles ties.
