Chloe Ryan is eight shots off the pace at the  Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship taking place at the Montado Hotel and Golf Resort.

The Castletroy golfer is +4 for the event after rounds of 72, 76 and 72 and she is currently in 13th place overall.

The leader is Leitzia Bagnoli of Italy who is one of only two players under par on 4 under. She leads Julia Engstrom of Sweden by 2 with Agathe Laisne of France and Denmark’s Line Toft Hansen back on level.

Valerie Clancy and Annabel Wilson are next best of the Irish on +7 with Julie McCarthy one shot further back and just inside the Top 30.

It’s been a disappointing tournament for Curtis Cup player Maria Dunne who was expected to challenge for honours but she is 12 over par. Sinead Sexton is 17 over while Georgia Carr is one shot further back.
